Trumpet Behavioral Health and the Autism Society of Colorado (ASC) have teamed up to present parents in Colorado with up-to-date information on Health Insurance Mandated Autism Treatment (HIMAT) benefits and insurance changes through the Affordable Care Act in Colorado.
This free presentation will cover important insurance information including HIMAT benefits and changes to insurance coverage for Autism.
Insurance coverage is a critical component of maximizing potential for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related developmental disabilities. Insurance changes can add difficulty to the process of obtaining coverage, which is multi-layered and often times overwhelming.
Kim Tenure, ASC program and policy director, will work with parents and caregivers during this presentation to understand HIMAT benefits, understand insurance vocabulary, and interpret ACA changes in Colorado.
Dinner and child care will be provided on-site at no charge. We encourage parents to bring their insurance policy information, along with questions on coverage.
