Sara Gaines, MS, BCBA, LBA, serves as the Clinical Director at BlueSprig located in Weatherford, TX. Her educational background is impressive, having earned a Master’s in Applied Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis, as well as a Bachelor’s in Psychology, both from Jacksonville State University. During her time at University, she was actively engaged as a Graduate Research Assistant from 2014 to 2017, and she completed internships at both the Jacksonville State University Graduate Department and Pledger Behavior Consulting. Gaines specializes in early intervention, practical functional assessment, and supervision. Her client care philosophy centers around meeting clients where they are and leveraging a partnership with them and their families to navigate their unique situations with support and advocacy.

Gaines is professionally affiliated with the Association for Professional Behavior Analysts and is certified in Crucial Conversations, demonstrating her commitment to effective and compassionate communication. She has contributed significantly to her field, as evident by her involvement in various poster presentations, including studies on the use of descriptive assessment methodology in assisted living facilities, preference assessment procedures for older adults with dementia, and analyses of adults diagnosed with dementia in memory care units. These presentations were made at notable gatherings such as the annual meetings of the Alabama Association for Applied Behavior Analysis and the Association for Behavior Analysis International.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Gaines enjoys a personal life filled with outdoor activities, especially those that allow her to spend time with her family and animals on their farm. Her multifaceted approach to her work in applied behavior analysis and her personal life reflects her holistic approach to service and living.
